Description
The Sara Rose is an exceptional yacht in many ways. She has a very pleasant separate Aft Deck plus a Cockpit four staterooms and four heads with the Galley Up just forward of the Salon. The basic layout is extremely popular. In this general size Hatteras has built hundreds with the same configuration. Please note: There are very few hours on the Main Engines since they were rebuilt and the Generators were replaced; one in 2001 and the other in 2007. She has enjoyed many other upgrades including new interior teak woodwork a completely new Galley and renewal of most of the operation systems. This is a great opportunity in a fine cruising design.

The generator room shows especially well. One 20 kw Northern Lights Genset was new in 2001 the other 20 kw was new in 2007. Both look brand new. They are in a separate compartment from the Main Engine room accessed down a ladder through a hatch by the lower dinette. This also houses the AC units and refrigerator which all appear to be in absolute top shape. There is 110 Volt and 220 AC 12 Volt and 32 Volt DC with 50 service. There is a 50 on shore line and two 20 shore lines. Lights provide AC and DC service. There is an electrical bonding system throughout the boat. Included are two Isolation Transformers. Engine /Mechanical Equipment
The split Engine Room layout allows easy access to the Master Stateroom through a centerline hallway. Each Engine Room has two doors one forward and one aft making access to the area easier. All four doors have viewing ports at eye level. There is about 750 hours use on one engine and about 150 hours on the other since being rebuilt (completed at different times.) Various pumps the hot water heater a tool box are located here. There are air seps 32 volt and 110 volt lighting. The 12V71TI Engines are a great match for this design allowing speeds to 18 knots at quite reasonable economy at hull speed.
