Seller note:

This boat has been set up to sail offshore in comfort. This is NOT a dockside condo, and has been set up for short-handed sailing. The current owner is a knowledgeable sailor who has owned a number of boats, and he understands the importance of maintenance and upkeep. There is a complete SECOND engine and transmission in running order, as well as a third engine which may be used for parts! This boat is seen regularly sailing in the harbor, and everything is kept in excellent running order. The previous owner kept the boat in a low humidity area in Bonaire, under cover and on the hard when not in use. The current owner bought the boat and had the yard manager sail her to the Bahamas, where he sailed it to Charleston without incident. This is a quality boat that has been cared for on an ongoing basis, and one only has to step aboard to see this. For further details please contact the listing broker, Glen Appelbaum, at [removed phone] or via email at [removed email]

Just aft of the cabin is the separate shower and head. There is a sink and mirrored medicine chest above, locker storage and an opening SS porthole. The head is a Raritan PH II. Access to the separate shower stall is through the louvered door. There is a seat, and water is drained with a pump. The starboard settee may be converted into a double berth, and the port settee will accommodate an adult. There is also a quarter berth aft of the navigation station. The nav desk folds down to maximize space and comfort.Double berth in forward cabinComfort seat and standing roomLouvered lockers and sliding doors for closetEasy access to tank in forward cabinSolar vent in forward hatchSeparate shower stallHead and vanityBeautiful teak joinery throughoutStarboard settee converts into double berthPort settee sleeps one adultBehind nav area is a quarter berth10 SS portholesStorage lockers throughout the boat, including under the settees
Mechanical Equipment:
The Westerbeke has proven to be reliable and starts every time. It is a lower revving engine, which produces the necessary torque but is fuel-efficient. The oil is changed every 75 hours, fuel filters are replaced every 100 hours, and the fuel tank is kept at least 90% full. The transmission was replaced new in 2007, and the raw water pump was replaced in 2010. There is the "quick change" impellor housing with brass thumb screws to facilitate the change. The cutlass bearing was replaced in 2009.Transmission w/cooler - 2007Oil replaced every 75 hoursFuel filters replaced every 100 hoursRaw water pump - 2010Cutlass bearing - 2009New engine hosesDual Racor filtration

Deck and Hull Equipment:
Cabo Rico has quietly become known as one of the finest producers of blue water boats, and this is one of their classic designs that has withstood the test of time. The cockpit is compact and safe, ensuring that the occupants remain comfortable. The decks are wide and easy to move on, and the shrouds are out of the way outboard. There are safety bars around the mast to ensure one's comfort and safety when working forward, as well as grab handles all the way forward. The owner has also put on a Boombrake as a Gybe-preventer. It is evident that the boat is outfitted for safe shorthanded sailing, which the current enjoys.Starboard boarding ladder - 2007Bimini - 2010Dodger - 2010Sailcover - 2010Monitor self steeringDual propane tanks in vented lockerSolar panelCockpit cushionsStanding rigging replaced - 2007EDSON ROD Steering & pedestal - 2009Nine (9) sails, including new Yankee, Drifter, Asymmetrical & bagLED lightsAnodized mast
