Time-tested design by Phillip Rhodes. Seating for six! Sleeps 4. Very open cockpit (they say this size cockpit is normally found on 22-23ft boats. -you can get the same spaciousness in a more compact model. = easier to handle, maneuver on trailer, and to easier to store.
Hull has smooth bottom and 320lb centerboard (swing-keel) tucks nicely into the hull. Putting her on the trailer is as easy as driving a ski boat. Hull is loaded with positive floatation (foam), so the Mariner is basically unsinkable (I think so even if you try) ((I haven't tried though)).
Comes with Jib, Main, Genoa, Spinnaker pole, Tiller/rudder, Mast (straight), Boom -both have sail track smooth as silk, Galvanized Trailer ($380 in improvements alone, 6-ply new tires, clean), rigging is stainless and solid.
Sail area is 190sqft, then with the Genoa (I've been told) she will s-c-r-e-a-m (as will you if you don't have 4 people riding high side to keep her down).
Invested about $3k in improvements and time. This is a Reasonable asking price since junk comparables are $2700-$4000.
